Installing The Monkey:

Please Note:
These instructions are meant as a guide so feel free to skip the sections you feel comfortable with. These steps are not essential or particular to installing The Monkey but are considered 'good practice' for any software you intend to install on your PC.

Installation:
It's easy to install The Monkey, but for those who feel their computer skills are a bit shaky, here is a simple guide to what's involved. If you want more information on a particular section, type what you need into a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. For example type: ‘Restore Point Tutorial'.

1 - Preparation
2 - Creating a restore point
3 - Finding your Monkey
4 - Unzipping The Monkey
5 - Installing The Monkey

1 - Preparation:
It's always a good idea to do some regular basic housework on your PC to make sure your PC is in good health. It's not an essential step but it's good practice before you install any new software or hardware.

2 - Creating a Restore Point:

• - Applies to Windows (ME, XP & latest versions)
• - Click here for details how to do this.

3 - Finding your Monkey:
When downloading files from the Internet it can sometimes be difficult to remember where you downloaded them to. If you're having difficulty in locating your Monkey, simply right mouse click the 'Start' button and select Search. Type 'MONKEY_SETUP.EXE' and your PC will find the file for you.

• - Applies to Windows (all versions)

4 - Unzipping The Monkey:
To save space and make downloads faster, The Monkey arrives 'zipped up'. Zipping a file is a way of compressing all the files in the program to make them smaller and therefore smaller and quicker to download from the Internet. Before you can install a zipped up program you need to unzip it.

• - Applies to Windows (ME, XP & latest versions)
• - Click here for details how to do this.

5 - Installing The Monkey:
Simply double click the file, MONKEY_SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Once finished, your Monkey is then ready to use.
